LOUISIANA RUN FOR THE WETLANDS
The Louisiana Run for the Wetlands is an annual race whose purpose is to promote the beauty of South Louisiana’s coastal wetlands, raise awareness of the challenges the wetlands are facing, and share efforts being made for their preservation and restoration. Located at the Montegut Recreation Center in Montegut, LA, runners race through natural areas like the Louisiana Wildlife Preserve and across a grass levee. Our team was tasked with developing the race’s branding, promotional efforts, and event materials in a way that maintained the theme of Louisiana’s wetlands.
LOGO SET AND COLOR PALETTE
The race’s creators wanted a logo for the event that reflected every aspect of its mission, along with its family-friendly nature. The logo was designed from scratch, beginning with preliminary sketches on pieces of paper. The concept of a runner racing through marshy grass with cattails was selected as the final design, and the logo was modified along the way to feature taller grass. Our team created several sample color palettes, but it was a combination of dark green, orange, and a gold variant that won.

EVENT MATERIALS
Our team put together a wide range of materials needed for the event, which spanned from sponsorship signs to t-shirts. Posters with names of sponsors were produced to hang at the entrance of the event, while additional signs were created to appear on sponsor tents. For the race itself, our team designed maps that showed each race course, color-coded mile markers designated for each race, and sign-up and registration forms for the event.

WEBSITE
The Louisiana Run for the Wetlands website was designed by our team to encompass all resources that participants of the event would need to access. The easy-to-navigate site features event information written by our content creators, sponsor listings, a race sign-up form, contact information, and more.
